Tata Motors has officially announced to introduce a new global Electric Vehicle on April 29, 2022. It has recently trademarked two new names – the Curvv and the Sliq.

The Tata Curvv global EV SUV Coupe concept has already been unveiled. It is expected that the new Tata electric car could be called the Tata Sliq.

It is also speculated that Tata Motors could unveil the production version of the Altroz EV. Moreover, Tata is also testing the long range version of the Nexon EV in India.

The Altroz EV in pre-production concept was first showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The electric hatchback was also displayed at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Tata Altroz EV looks largely identical to the regular IC engine-powered Altroz; however, it comes with blue highlights on exterior and interior

The Tata Altroz electric vehicle is expected to share the same powertrain that powers the Nexon EV. The Nexon EV uses an IP67 certified 30.2kWh battery pack with a permanent magnet AC motor.

It is likely to deliver a range between 250km-300km. The vehicle will come with fast charging option, which will charge battery to 80% in 60 minutes.

The other possibility is that Tata Motors could unveil an all-new concept with a name Tata Sliq. The company could also introduce the updated version of the Nexon EV

The larger battery pack is expected to offer an ideal range of around 400km. It should offer a real-world range closer to 300km. The 2022 Tata Nexon EV will also come with a more powerful charger.
